How often should I seal coat my asphalt?
Most asphalt benefits from seal coating every 2 to 3 years. High-traffic commercial lots may need it more often. We recommend a schedule based on condition, age and use.
What is the difference between chip seal, fog seal and seal coating?
Chip seal is liquid asphalt with crushed stone, ideal for rural roads and driveways. Fog seal is a light spray that restores color and seals fine cracks. Seal coating is a thicker protective layer for lots and driveways.
How long before I can drive on a freshly sealed surface?
Most treatments are ready for foot traffic within a few hours and vehicles within 24 to 48 hours, depending on temperature and humidity.
